The Food

I use locally caught Pollack, Mullet and Cornish Rock Salmon for my fish and chips. I also do buy in Cornish Haddock out of Newlyn. My batter does contain gluten, but if you pre book I can do a GF batter in a separate fryer. Fish and chips are served with tartare sauce and a lemon wedge.

There are a variety of lobster dishes on my menu too. I serve whole and half chilled lobsters; lobster scampi, which is lobster tail lightly batter and fried; lobster rolls; lobster loaded chips; and lobster claws. All my lobster is bought from local St Agnes fishermen. When available, I also sell Crawfish. A similar fish to Lobster, but larger and sweeter. Often sent and sold to the European market, this beautiful fish is caught on Scilly from late June/July time. A must try if you visit me and I have it available.

I also sell homemade fishcakes, scotch eggs which I make using St Agnes pork and eggs, battered sausages and pre filled rolls – Agnes Egg Mayo, Downs Farm Beef, Lobster. I have a few different vegetarian/vegan options available also – battered courgettes, vegan sausages, crispy cauliflower bites.

I have salad from Scilly Organics of St Martins, Asian Slaw, and a Tomato Butterbean salad available to order as sides too.
